Our Story
Wild Roots Adventure Supply was born from a deep love for nature and a desire to share that love with others. We noticed that many people were hesitant to try camping due to the high cost of gear and the uncertainty of what they needed. We knew there had to be a way to remove these barriers and help more people experience the joy of sleeping under the stars.
Our Passion
We believe that nature has a profound ability to heal, inspire, bring people together, and get people closer to God. At least that’s what it’s done for founder, Anna Caskey. There's something enchanting about waking up to the sound of birdsong, cooking over an open fire, and gazing up at a sky full of stars with people you love. These experiences can transform lives, lower stress, and we want everyone to have the chance to create their own outdoor memories.

Meet Our Team
Wild Roots Adventure Supply was envisioned by Anna Caskey in 2018. What began as a mere thought, an idea, gradually grew into a determined goal. In 2024, after much deliberation and planning, Anna decided to take the leap and bring this dream to life. Today, Wild Roots Adventure Supply is a thriving reality, driven by Anna’s passion and commitment to connecting people with nature.
Anna and Nathanael – Your Adventure Guides
Anna brings a wealth of knowledge and a heart full of passion to Wild Roots Adventure Supply. With a background in business management and marketing, she ensures that operations run smoothly and efficiently. Beyond the business, Anna operates a holistic micro-farm and private chef business called Caskeys Raised Wild, dedicated to permaculture/biodiversity and offering healthy, local food to her community. Her dedication to sustainability and healthy living shines through in everything she does. WRAS is operated by Anna’s husband, Nathanael Caskey. Nathanael’s expertise in construction and real estate provides a solid foundation for the company. His practical skills and hands-on experience ensure that every piece of equipment we offer is maintained to the highest standards, ready for your next adventure.
Together, Anna and Nathanael are blessed parents to 5 wonderful children. They have 4 biological children, and 1 foster son. They began adventuring together in 2012 when Nathanael met Anna in Lexington, KY- inseparable ever since. They’ve explored various types of camping but find the greatest joy in backcountry camping. Their shared experiences and love for the outdoors drive their mission to help others discover the wonders of nature.

Thank you so much for checking out Wild Roots Adventure Supply. Your interest and support mean the world to me and my family. This small business is our passion project, born from a deep love of being in God’s Creation. On a recent camping trip in West Virginia, I looked around, smiled at my husband, and said, “This is when I feel closest to the Lord.” I feel his love for me so deeply when he surrounds me with beautiful views of nature. I have so many wonderful memories made under the stars, (and crazy ones too!) but they are all good memories. Even the terrible camping trip memories were only small parts of the bigger amazing ones that I can laugh about now.
I think about all the people I have met in my life who have wanted to go camping, or camp more, but are met with financial barriers or maybe they just can’t justify spending money on something they’re only going to use once. I just want to get more people to try it if they want to. So, whether you’re an avid adventurer like us- chasing waterfalls, not minding sleeping under a cliff and building your own fires- or if you’re brand new to this lifestyle and don’t even know if you would like it or not- we’re here to provide you with the gear and support you need to make camping memories.
